Module 3: Deepening the Connection with Your Spirit Team

This module guides you to explore and strengthen your connection with the divine support team that walks with you — your Spirit Team. From identifying who's with you to refining your communication, cultivating trust, and deepening the sacred bond, this module will help you open your heart and intuition more fully.

Section 1: Who’s on Your Spirit Team?

Your spirit team is made up of beings of love, light, and wisdom who are committed to your highest path.

We do not need to know who they are to be able to deeply connect and work with them, but knowing who they are and why they have chosen to work with us can focus our intention when calling on them, and help us to feel a stronger more personal bond with them.

Our Spirit Team may include:

  • Guardian Angels

  • Archangels

  • Spirit Guides

  • Soul family

  • Animal Allies

  • Ancestors

  • Star Beings

  • Nature Spirits

  • Ascended Masters

  • Elemental Helpers

  • Past-life versions of yourself (in rare cases)

Lifelong vs. Rotating Allies:

Lifelong guides are with you from birth, and in some cases from previous lives, and never leave your side.

Rotating guides appear for specific purposes or life chapters, then move on when the lesson or task is complete or a different chapter of your life begins.

Soul Contracts & Karmic Connections:

Some guides are bonded to you through soul contracts or shared past lives. These relationships often come with a strong sense of familiarity.

Important note: There is no hierarchy with this. Our Spirit Teams are not above us, nor are they more important than us… in fact they deeply admire us for choosing to incarnate into this density, on this planet at this time.

Some of them have known us our whole lives, across lifetimes, they have watched us grow, seen us at our best & at our worst… they love and adore us. They are family to us. There is no need for minding our Ps & Qs, standing on ceremony, or excessive formalities…. Speak to them as you would close friends and loved ones. Because they are. Be yourself When speaking with them. Authentically You.

In my experience they often have a wonderful sense of humour, and love nothing more than to help us raise our frequency through light heartedness and laughter. So don't ever make communication with them too serious. Sacred & Beloved, Yes. But stiff, rigid and serious, No.

Suggested Practices:

  • Spirit Ally Mapping Exercise: Create a visual map of your team. Include guides you know, those you've sensed, those who have perhaps been given to you during communications by others, and space for new connections.

One of the key aspects of this work, and any Spiritual Exploration, is asking the right questions and allowing the space for the answers to come in.

  • Asking Questions & Journalling answers: A very powerful exercise which you could combine with the mapping exercise is Writing out a list of questions for your spirit team, and then taking time to meditate, journal and allowing the answers to come through… trusting your first answers always.

  • Oracle/Tarot Spreads: Use your cards to call in guidance and meet a spirit ally. Ask questions like “What do you want me to know about your presence?” or “What is your role in my life?” and be open to seeing what comes through. Again, journalling and just free-flow Writing here can also bring in wonderful communication from them.

They are often waiting in the wings for an opportunity to bring in communication to guide and support you like this. You may be truly blown away by what comes through!

(Just touching back on the previous module, make sure you are in a good frame of mind and energy space when you sit to do this, and be specific about calling those in who come in love, who wish to support and positively inspire you.)

Section 2: Strengthening Your Spiritual Senses

Your intuition is the bridge between the physical world and spirit, and our imagination is the canvas through which Higher Realms of Consciousness can communicate with us.

Everyone has a unique combination of intuitive abilities and Extra-Sensory Perceptions known as the “clairs”. Here are some examples of these senses, but it is by no means the full list:

  • Clairvoyance: clear seeing

  • Clairaudience: clear hearing

  • Clairsentience: clear feeling

  • Claircognizance: clear knowing

  • Clairalience: clear smelling

  • Clairgustance: clear tasting

They can also make their presence known through ringing or popping sounds in your ears, sudden surges of joy or love, and all manner of other symbols and synchronicities.

Everyone has different strengths & different pre-dispositions when it comes to the ‘Clair’ senses. Our natural extra-sensory abilities are like our own unique or signature perfume, no two people sense and communicate with spirit in the same exact way, so it’s important that you never compare or judge how you receive information with how other people do it. They will all get stronger with practise, and with time, attention, and raising of our vibrational frequencies.

It’s very rare for all of these to “turn on” at once, or with a strong intensity, though this can sometimes happen after a NDE (Near Death Experience), a Kundalini Awakening, a Plant Medicine or Hallucinogenic Experience, or some other rapid opening or frequency increase.

By raising your frequency, practising regularly, and demonstrating a desire to use your gifts to align with your soul purpose or to benefit others, they will increase more quickly.

Suggested Practices:

  • Sensory Inventory Meditation: Quiet your mind, then go through each sense. Ask, “Do you wish to communicate through this channel?” Notice any sensations. This takes patience time, self awareness and disernment. It may take a few sittings before anything significant begins to happen. Things may come in very subtly at first, it isn’t all bright lights and technicolor and tapdancing centre stage right away. It is a lot more subtle than a lot of people expect, so a lot can be very easily missed.

  • Clair Activation Ritual:

Begin by lighting a candle or holding a crystal.

Breathe into your third eye or heart.

Ask, “Which clair wants to open more today?”

Journal or sit in stillness to receive impressions.

Close with gratitude and make sure to ground, close and protect yourself afterwards so not to go around absorbing anything that isn’t yours from places, people and things that will not serve or benefit you.

  • Play Intuition Games to test yourself:

    Guess who's calling/texting.

Ask for a sign and stay open for them to arrive in a way you may not expect.

Practice psychometry (intuitive reading of objects) - More on this in future modules.

Section 3: Building Trust and Sacred Relationship

Like any relationship, your connection with your spirit team is built on trust, love, and consistency.

Suggested Practices:

Morning &/or Evening Prayers: Asking for their support, assistance and inspiration throughout your day, and offering prayers of gratitude at the end of each day.

Prayers of gratitude every time you notice their presence or a sign from them: Every time you receive a sign, see an angel number, get a confirmation that a decision was guided or you were protected, tune in and say thank you.

Spirit Ally Letter Writing: Write a letter to a guide or your whole team. Let it be raw, real, or even playful. Perhaps read it aloud at your altar.

Offerings of Love:

A cup of tea shared spiritually

A walk in silence, especially in nature.

Singing, drawing, or dancing in their honour

Sacred Consistency: Treat your guides like wise elders — offer respect, attention, and presence, not just requests. Pray and communicate when things are good, not just when you are desperate and need of assistance. This will rapidly build the energy and bring you closer.

Section 4: Communication Practices and Rituals

Regular communication helps you feel their presence more vividly.

Suggested Practices:

Morning Message Ritual:

Upon waking, place a hand on your heart.

Ask, “What do you want me to know today?”

Write the answer in your journal.

Honouring them on your Altar/ Altar Additions for your Spirit Team:

Examples include: Lighting a central candle for the collective team to honour them,

Placing A glass of water (a spiritual conductor)

Or Crystals (like Celestite, Selenite, Labradorite), Etc.

Any Symbolic objects you feel drawn to (e.g., feathers, herbs, animal totems, items or photographs of loved ones in spirit, etc).

Channeled Writing:

Set a timer.

Begin writing on a page in your journal - “Spirit Team, what message do you have for me today?”

Write without stopping or editing. Let it flow.

This is one of the exercises that really changed my life, Deepening my relationships with my guides and team mates in ways I never expected. Helping me learn to trust what was coming in, and bringing in so much wisdom, support and inspiration for me. I cannot emphasise enough how powerful this can be.

Section 5: Navigating Doubt, Ego, and Projection

Even the most connected spiritual beings experience moments of doubt or imposter syndrome. It’s a natural part of being human and walking a path between the seen and unseen. This section helps you navigate the mind’s interference, build discernment, and stay lovingly anchored in your inner knowing.

The Voice of Ego vs. the Voice of Spirit

Ego tends to be urgent, loud, anxious, judgmental, or fear-based.

Spirit whispers with clarity, calm, compassion, or resonance.

If a message makes you feel lesser, panicked, or confused — pause and reassess.

The Mind’s Need for Certainty

Your logical mind may want proof, labels, or guarantees — but spirit often speaks through subtlety, symbolism, and felt sense. Your job is to lean into trust, not perfection.

Recommended Practices:

  • The 3-Heart Check-In:

A simple tool to test spiritual messages. Ask yourself:

1. Does this feel true in my heart?

2. Is this message aligned with love and wisdom?

3. Is this message helping me grow, heal, or serve others?

  • Body-Based Discernment:

After receiving spiritual guidance, place your hands on your womb, belly, or heart. Breathe deeply. Ask:

Does this feel nourishing? Does it settle or stir my system?

Our body is our sacred compass — if it tightens or tenses, your intuition may be alerting you to misalignment.

  • Ego-Release Fire Ritual:

Write out your doubts, fears, or inner critic’s voice.

Acknowledge it with compassion, then burn it (safely).

As the paper turns to ash, say:

“I release the voice of fear. I return to the wisdom of my soul.”

  • Mantras for Trust:

Repeat aloud or journal these:

“I am a clear and open channel for love and truth”.

“I trust the unfolding of my spiritual gifts”.

“It’s safe for me to be guided and supported”.

Section 6: Discernment & Energetic Boundaries

Just as you wouldn’t leave your front door open to strangers, you don’t want to leave your energy field open to just any spirit. Developing strong discernment and spiritual hygiene ensures that your connection stays clear, empowered, and sovereign.

Why This Matters:

Not every spirit is a guide.

Some earthbound or mischievous entities may masquerade as helpful beings.

Clear boundaries affirm your spiritual authority and protect your space.

Recommended Practices:

  • Set Your Spiritual Parameters:

Daily or weekly, affirm your boundaries. You can say aloud:

“I only welcome beings of unconditional love, divine truth, and aligned purpose.”

“Any energies not in my highest good must leave now and are not permitted to return.”

  • Cleansing Rituals:

    • Smudging or smoke clearing (mugwort, rosemary, frankincense, or palo santo — ethically sourced)

    • Salt foot soaks or ocean dips to discharge heavy energy.

    • Sweeping your aura with selenite, feathers, or sound

  • Visualization: Encase yourself in golden or mirrored light, asking it to reflect any intrusive energy outward.

  • Energetic Scan & Audit:

Tune into how certain spirit communications feel. Ask:

Does this being uplift, empower, and ground me?

Is there a hidden agenda or strange emotion?

If in doubt, pause the connection and seek clarity later.

  • Power Practice – Closing the Gate:

If something feels off:

Imagine a giant oak door closing in your mind’s eye.

Seal it with a symbol (e.g. a sigil, crystal, or guardian animal).

Call in Archangel Michael, Archangel Metatron, Dragons of Protection, or your Higher Self to cleanse the space.

Section 7: Deepening the Relationship Over Time

Your spirit team is not a one-time connection — it's a lifelong partnership. Like any relationship, it requires tending, devotion, and openness to evolution. As you grow, so will your awareness of their presence, messages, and love.

Love-Led Connection:

Your guides don’t expect perfection. They rejoice in your presence, your intention, and your willingness to listen — however imperfectly. Every prayer, every thank-you, every attempt to connect strengthens the bridge.

Recommended Practices:

  • Spirit Team Journal or Grimoire:

Dedicate a page (or several) to each known guide.

Include name (or nickname), appearance, colours, symbols, roles, past life connections, and key messages.

Sketch, doodle, or collage their essence. Let it be personal, intuitive, and alive.

  • Gratitude as a Portal:

Gratitude is a powerful frequency that amplifies the connection.

Light a candle and say:

“Thank you for walking beside me, guiding me, and loving me through it all.”

  • Offer something meaningful: a cup of tea, a flower, a dance, a breath of presence.

Make it a ceremony, even if brief.

  • Seasonal Check-Ins & Spiritual Reviews:

Use the Wheel of the Year, moon phases, or numerological portals (like 2/2, 4/4, etc.) as sacred check-in points.

Ask your team:

“How have I grown?”

“What am I being called to embody now?”

“Is there a new guide stepping forward for this season?”

  • Spiritual Playdates:

Not everything has to be deep and heavy. Invite joy, laughter, curiosity into your practice.

Ask your team to guide a playlist.

Dance with them.

Ask for silly signs.

Invite wonder.
